Colin Douglas Liddy of Tafton, PA passed away February 22, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown, PA. Born May 23, 1998 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Douglas and Jeanette (Gonzalez) Liddy, big brother to Jake and Grady Liddy. The grandson of Stephen and Alice Liddy and Joseph and Irma Gonzalez. Cousin of Patrick Gonzalez, Sarah, Stephen and Aidan Liddy. Nephew of Stephen and Christina Liddy, Joseph and Patricia Gonzalez, and Christopher Gonzalez. Godson of Stephen Liddy and Tara Peters was loved by all who knew him.
Colin was student at the Wallenpaupack Area High School who had a passion for having fun, whether playing with his brothers, playing with his friends on XBox or watching a favorite movie over and over again. You could always catch Colin playing with his mother’s hair and spreading his big smile. Colin was a great friend to many and was always there for a friend in need. Colin had no fears in life. He loved playing all sports and was proud to be a Wallenpaupack Buckhorn. Colin loved pasta and rice dishes, pizza, ice cream, a good bowl of cereal and a cold glass of apple juice. Most of all, Colin loved his brothers.
We are proud to share that Colin is a GIFT-of-LIFE donor and has provided hope to many people in need of a life saving or life enhancing transplant. Colin's heart beats on!!!
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA (map/directions) on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Veronica’s Church, 122 Shiny Mountain Rd., Greentown, PA (m/d)on Thursday February 28, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Richard Beck officiating.
Cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA at the convenience of the family.
Family requests, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Colin's honor be made to a charity dear to the donor, or if we may suggest:
The NephCure Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping people/families who are affected by Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), or Gift of Life.
