Najla Josephine Silek

Najla Josephine Silek beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away Thursday, June 12th.  She was 91.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th at 3 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church in Front Royal.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Maddox Funeral Home.

Naj was born in Portage, Pennsylvania on March 3rd, 1923, the daughter of Edma Haddad and Charles Haddad. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Abe.  Together they raised a family and built a retail business in downtown Front Royal, Frank's Ladies' Clothing.â�¨â�¨ She is survived by her three children: Vicky Hunt, Mary Jo Marine, and Mike Silek; her sons-in-law: Sam Hunt III and David Marine; her daughter-in-law Pam Silek; her grandchildren: Kara Marine, Meredith Silek, Michael Silek, Crystal McNeal, and Sam Hunt IV; her great grandchildren: Deia, Madison, and Natalie.  Naj's three sisters: Emily Faddoul, Yvonne Chala, and Sandra Sears; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very best friend Joanne Perrero also survive her.
