Joan Haney

Joan Haney, 70 of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away on Sunday December 8, 2013 at home.

She was a receptionist/switchboard operator at Bergen Pines Regional Medical Center, Paramus, NJ.

The daughter of the late James and Ruth (Murphy) MacDowell she was born in Manhattan, NY on December 2, 1943. She was married to George V. Haney on December 31, 1963.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters Denise Mitchell of Milford, PA, Jennifer Haney of Scranton, PA; two sons James Haney of Albrightsville, PA and Christopher Haney of River Edge, NJ; brother Richard MacDowell of Basking Ridge, NJ; sister Denise MacDowell of Tampa, FL and 8 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St.,  Milford, PA on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 101 St. Vincent Drive, Milford, PA on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10 AM with Rev. Paul Mullen officiating. Burial will follow in Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, PA.
