Charles E. Lake, Sr., 71, of Shade Gap, PA, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his home.
Born April 26, 1946 in Dublin Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Ellis John & Anabel (Colyer) Lake.
He is survived by two children, Charles E. Lake, Jr. and wife Lerinna of Shirleysburg, PA and Rhonda L. Lake-Scott and husband Randy, Jr. of Shade Gap, PA, two grandsons, Douglas Lake and Tanner Lake, four step granddaughters, Sonya Runk, Samantha Hess, Sabrina Bowman and Maleia Thompson, four great grandchildren, Hailey Lake, Haiden Lake, Dougie Lake and Kenna Lake-Scott and four siblings, Dorothy Baer of Burnt Cabins, PA and James Lake, Thurlby “Babe” Lake and Donald “Grub” Lake, all of Shade Gap, PA. Four brothers, Russell Devlin, Arthur Devlin, Jackie Devlin and Robert Devlin, preceded in death.
Mr. Lake was of the Protestant faith. He was a life member of both Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA and Blue Juniata Post 5754, V. F. W., Mt. Union, PA. He was also a member of the Dead Horse Camp, Shade Gap, PA.
He was the owner/operator of Lake’s Septic Tank Cleaning, Shade Gap, PA, for many years.
Mr. Lake was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Army from August 22, 1966 until June 27, 1968.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
