Anne J. Ferdinand

Anne J. Ferdinand (nee Bonanno), of Newark, died October 10, 2014 in St. Barnabas. She was 91. Visiting will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Basilica. Private cremation will follow, and her ashes will eventually be buried at Fairmount Cemetery in Newark.

Mrs. Ferdinand had been a secretary to The Director of The Newark Board of Education, and she was also a secretary at Majectic Records. She was a volunteer for The Board of Elections and was Past President of The Career Women's Association.

Wife of the late Francis A., she is survived by her son, Dr. Francis D. Ferdinand, MD and her grandchildren Lauren, Audrey, Anna and Natalie. She was predeceased by her sons Gregory F., Kevin M., and Jeffrey A. Ferdinand. She was also sister of the late Beatrice, Phyllis, Philly, Joe, Edward and Benjamin Bonanno.
