Cabrera, David Obituary

David Geoffrey Cabrera, 53, formerly of Rio Rico, AZ, and Syracuse and Warwick, NY, passed away at his home in Lackawaxen, PA, on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, after a long illness.  The first-born of Alexander and Susan (Belitza) Cabrera, he entered the world on July 16, 1965, in New York City.  David was a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, and attended both Orange County and Onondaga Community Colleges.  Before his years of total disability, David worked many and various jobs, including as a courier for the old Marine Midland Bank, and night manager of a convenience store in Syracuse.

In his spare time, David was a master armor modeler, and devoted role-playing gamer.  Always the diplomat, he stopped the fights and got the impaired home safely.

Left behind to mourn his loss but rejoice at his release from his prison of disability, are his mother, Susan Cabrera, brother Matthew and his family, and aunt Sandra Belitza-Vazquez and her family.  David was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Cabrera.  A memorial service will be held for David at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Route 590, Greeley, PA, 11 AM on February 2, 2019.

Arrangements were made by Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA 18337 (www.stroyanfuneralhome.com).
