The Journey of Sandra Jean Bobo

Sandra J. Bobo of Washington, DC, beloved mother of Glenn, Patricia, Rachelle, Uldrick, and Paul transitioned peacefully on Friday, March 27,2020. Sandra was a “MOM” to many and was affectionately known as Ma or Grandma or just Sandra to her family or friends.

Sandra was born to the late Johnny and Patricia Bobo on July 22, 1948 in Asheville, NC and was raised in Washington, DC. Sandra attended DC Public Schools. She worked for awhile as a waitress. Her primary job became taking care of her five children. Sandra always had an open door for family and friends. She was an excellent cook and everyone loved to come to her house to eat. She was not a master of just one dish, but every dish she made was a masterpiece. Sandra didn’t have a lot but what she did have she shared. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her children, grandchildren, family or friends. Sandra loved family gatherings where everyone came together to eat, laugh, and just have a good time. She loved seeing and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Patricia Bobo and her brother James C. Bobo.
