Margaret W. Archer, 72, of Front Royal, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Stepp officiating.
Born May 29, 1941 in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. Wilson, Jr. and Margaret Scott Wilson Hersloff.
Mrs. Archer graduated from Tanell School in Wilmington, DE, St. Margaret’s in Waterbury, CT and graduated from Washington Hospital Center as a RN. She was a head surgical nurse at Eastern Memorial Hospital in Eastern, MD and later at Washington Hospital Center in DC. She then went on to be a head nurse at the Washington Recovery Center.
Maggie Archer passed away July 16, 2013. Her husband, Tom, was the County Commissioner of Collier County, FL in the 1970’s. She hosted many of the best social events in Naples and Moorings, FL. For all that knew her, she will be missed.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Archer; two children, Douglass Shepard Archer of Linden and Margaret Elizabeth O’Fallon of Front Royal; a step-son, Thomas Phillip Archer, III of Dunnellon, FL; a brother, Paul E. Wilson, III of Naples, FL; 2 grand-daughters, Grace Grey O’Fallon and Annabelle Hubbell O’Fallon. She was preceded in death by a brother Andrew Grey Wilson.
