Alvin L. Yohn

Alvin Lawrence Yohn, 84, of Greencastle, PA, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Chambersburg Hospital.
    
Born October 28, 1934 at Blairs Mills, PA, he was a son of the late James Archibald and Violet (Parson) Yohn. He was united in marriage to the former Elma Sandra Flood on August 1, 1959. Mrs. Yohn preceded in death on December 30, 2006.
    
He is survived by three children, Glenda McMullen and husband Dale of Blairs Mills, PA, Keith Yohn and companion Valerie Grossi of Greencastle, PA and Lori Yohn and her spouse Lisa Yeo of Portland, OR. He is also survived three grandchildren, Amy Moyer, Lauren McMullen, A. J. Yohn, six great grandchildren, Brady Rogers, Blaine Rogers, Brecken Rogers, Kadyn McMullen, Konner McMullen and Kyacey McMullen and two siblings, Lottie Yocum and Charles Yohn, both of Blairs Mills, PA. Two sisters, Kathleen Fleming and Lela Cisney, preceded in death.
    
Mr. Yohn was a member of the Nossville United Methodist Church, RD, Blairs Mills, PA and United Auto Workers Union Local 171, Hagerstown, MD.
    
He retired from Mack Trucks, Inc., Hagerstown, MD after 28 years service as a machinist.
    
Known affectionately by his family as “Brother”, he enjoyed his tractors and raising pigs on his farmette.
    
Mr. Yohn was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
    
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made at Salem Cemetery, RD, Blairs Mills, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
    
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nossville United Methodist Church, 19852 Tuscarora Creek Road, Blairs Mills, PA 17213.
