Donald Ray Wiser, Sr., 67, of Path Valley Road, Dry Run, PA, died at 12:15 PM, Friday, December 25, 2015 at his home.

​Born December 30, 1947 at Nossville, PA, he was a son of the late Donald Harvey & Virginia Grace (Parson) Wiser. He was married to the former Linda L. Kingsboro on May 11, 2006. Mrs. Wiser survives at their home.

​Also surviving are four children, Donald R. Wiser, Jr. of Altoona, PA, Robert L. Wiser of Altoona, PA, Michael D. Wiser of Gilbert, AZ and Amber Dao and husband Kygan of Minneapolis, MN, one stepson, Allen Slagle and wife Karen of York Haven, PA, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and one sister, Donna Kay Clugston and husband Gregg of East Waterford, PA. One daughter, Susan Wiser, died in infancy.

​Mr. Wiser was a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518, American Legion, Rockhill Furnace, PA and Blue Juniata Post 5754, V. F. W., Mt. Union, PA.

​He retired from Olinger Trucking, Hector, MN as a truck driver.

​Mr. Wiser was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving from 1967 until 1978 and the U. S. Navy, serving from 1981 until 1986.

​A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Karen Willis officiating. Interment will be made at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Buffalo Cemetery, Ickesburg, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
