Winkler, Deborah Obituary

PLAINVILLE - Deborah “Debby” A. (Manfredi) Winkler, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the adored and devoted wife of 49 years to her high school sweetheart Dan Winkler.  Born August 2nd, 1949 in the West End of Boston, Debby was the daughter of the late Leo and Audrey Manfredi.  She attended Boston public schools, Bristol Community College and Gallaudet University.

Debby took pride in and dedicated her life to helping others. She worked in the education system for over 30 years as a sign language interpreter at the Boston School for the Deaf, Easton Public Schools, and Stonehill College.

Debby’s passions in life included reading, boating, and eating out at restaurants, but above all else, Debby enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Owen, Brooke, Krista, and Leah.

In addition to her long-time love, Dan, whom she met at Community Boating in Boston, Debby is survived by her sons, Mike and Chris, daughter-in-law Isis, four grandchildren, sisters Judy and Martha, and several nieces and nephews.

Per Debby’s wishes, we will be holding a Celebration of Life in lieu of wake and funeral services.
