Ingelore Beatrice Wenig, 86, of Front Royal, formerly of the New York City area, died on Monday, July 9, 2012.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home (map/directions) conducted by Rabbi Scott Sperling.
Mrs. Wenig was born December 18, 1925, in Berlin, Germany, daughter of the late Siegbert and Estella Rahmer Adler. She was a retired dental office manager working with her late husband Dr. Martin Wenig, DDS. As a member of the Jewish community, she fled to the New York City area from Nazi Germany in 1936 with her family. She was a former Commander of the U.S. Power Squadron in Port Washington, NY. She played bridge at the Holliday Bridge Club in Front Royal and is noted for her love of classical music.
Surviving are her son Mark Sonder of Linden and his wife Roxanne as well as their faithful pet companion, her granddog “Lucky”.
