Kelvin Lee Otis Walcott, 58, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Veterans Hospital in Washington, DC.  He was born on April 28, 1958 in Ludowici, Georgia to Helen Green Walcott and Buster Walcott.

After high school, he enrolled in the military and served for 11 years in Fort Stewart, Georgia and Wrzburg, Germany.  He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, working specifically as a mechanic - Specialist 5.  He continued his love of engineering later working in construction.  

Kelvin was an active member of the veteran community and worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs.  He was very creative and enjoyed drawing or sketching.  He will be remembered for his amiable personality, as he never met a stranger he couldn’t charm.  His comedic wit and funny one-liners will also be missed.

Kelvin is survived by his wife, Sheila Mae Walcott; his daughter, Sheila LaToya Walcott; his mother Helen, sister, Bertha Walcott; his brother Ike Walcott and his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
