Mary F. Towle-Gormley, 54 of Matamoras, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Mary was born on July 12, 1961 in Port Jervis, NY. She grew up in Sussex County, NJ and later raised a family of her own in Sparrowbush, NY. Mary attended High Point High School and was a graduate of OCCC, where she studied to be a paralegal. Known for her fondness of dogs, Mary was involved in the AKC and other kennel clubs, and raised and bred German Shepherds. Mary will also be remembered for her lifelong love affair with the Jersey Shore and her appreciation of music. 

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Frank Gormley; son Andrew Bischoff and his wife, Kimberly of Owego, NY; daughter Alicia Bischoff and her fiancé Michael Formisano both of Port Jervis, NY; parents George and Francis Towle of Hainesville, NJ;  brother George Towle and wife Ann of Belvedere, NJ;  sisters Joan Towle of Newton, NJ,  Helen Towle of Port Jervis, NY,  and Jennifer Towle-Copeland and husband Jim Copeland of Slate Hill, NY;  her mother and father in-law Erma and Gene Gormley of Hainesville, NJ;  and longtime family friend Jason Mele of Milford, PA.  Mary is also survived by her Aunt Diane and Uncle Jim of Sparrowbush, NY and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews whom she adored.  She was predeceased by her brother, Geoffrey Towle.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford Street, Milford, PA on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 1 to 4 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home on September 5, 2015 at 2PM with Rev. Wayne Varga officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a memorial donation in Mary’s name to the Pike County Humane Society, P.O. Box 255, Milford, PA 18337.
