Tampier, Harold Obituary

 

Harold L. Tampier, age 77 of Milford, PA passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY.  The son of the late Ernest and Viola (Maillet) Morgan, Charles was born August 3rd, 1935 in Port Jervis, and was raised by Jennie Tampier.
Harold worked as a welder for Perk’s Welding in Port Jervis.  A US Army verteran, Harold was a member of the American Legion Marsh-Kellogg Post #139, a 50 year member of the B.P.O.E. #645 in Port Jervis, and a former member of Rescue #3, also in Port Jervis.  
Predeceased by his wife Merilda (Presto) Tampier his son, Charles Tampier, his two sisters Betty Wood and Dixie Balmos, and his brother Paul Manwaring, Harold is survived by his daughter Merilda and her husband Shawn Cronin of Sparta, NY, his sisters Lovyon and her husband Jim Eckart and Shirley and her husband Ray Ostrom, both of Port Jervis, his brothers Robert Morgan of Cuddeback Village, NY, Ernest Morgan and his wife Sue, and Richard Morgan, both of Port Jervis.  Harold also leaves behind his seven grandchildren: Jennie, Bryce, Rachel, Keith, Emily, Mary, and Daniel, one great grandchild, Hanna, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Harold will be held on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 8:00 PM at Stroyan Funeral Home.
