Elloise G. Swope

Elloise G. Swope, 97, formerly of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Woodland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Orbisonia, PA.

Born July 30, 1919 at Three Springs, PA, she was a daughter of the late Carl & Fannie (Lane) Park. She was united in marriage to C. Lorraine Swope on August 25, 1938. Mr. Swope preceded in death March 28, 1986.

Surviving are two sons, Lester Swope and wife Dolores of Lancaster, PA and Dwight Swope and wife Barbara of Maddensville Pike, Orbisonia, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. One daughter, Bonnie Reed, one brother, Wayne and one sister, Miriam, preceded in death.

Mrs. Swope was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, RD, Three Springs, PA and a former member of the Three Springs Senior Citizens.

During her life she was a homemaker and also transported school students locally for 10 years.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Kenneth Cornelius officiating. Interment will be made privately at Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
