Evangelist Richard D. "Dick" Stoey, 75, Wells Valley Road, Waterfall, PA died at 4:45 PM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at his home.

Born June 26, 1940 at Nyesville, Franklin County, he was the son of the late Edgar L. and Esther M. (Deardorff) Stoey.  He was married to Saundra M. "Sue"  Rensch on October 25, 1959.  Mrs. Stoey survives at home.

Two daughters and a son survive:  Pamela M. Pheasant and husband Timothy, Fort Loudon, PA; Richard L. "Sam" Stoey and wife Mary, Waterfall, PA; and Tamela M. Wood and husband Tim, Elkton, VA.

There are 11 grandchildren: Beth Boyd, Jesse Wood, Jill Velasco, Jamie Stoey, Tucker Wood, Ben Stoey, Nichole Fafard, Dale Wood, Dustin Stoey, Amber Stoey, and Leslie Wood.

Five great grandchildren survive: Paiytn, Gavin, and Kaysen Velasco and Abby and Levi Boyd.

One brother Earl E. Stoey is deceased.

Mr. Stoey was a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church, Hustontown, PA.

He had served with the U.S. Navy from 1958--1961.

Mr. Stoey served as an evangelist for the past 40 years.  In earlier times, he had owned and operated service stations in the Chambersburg area for 13 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Dublin Mills Community Church, Dublin Mills Road, Hustontown, PA with his son Pastor Sam Stoey officiating.  Interment will be at the church cemetery.  Friends may call at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA from 7-9:00 PM on Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to 365 Hospice, 5000 6th Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
