Judith Stebbins

Judith Anne (Sebens) Stebbins of Long Lake, MN went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born to Aletta & Peter Sebens in Bellingham, WA in 1942 and spent her childhood in Lynden and Sumas, WA. Judy graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1960. She enjoyed being a cheerleader in high school and college. She graduated from Pine Rest School of Nursing with a degree in Psychiatric Nursing before attending Letourneau University in Texas, where she met her husband, David.

Judy and David raised their daughters in Auburn, NY until 1985 when David's engineering company moved to MN and they settled in Long Lake.

Preceded in death by her parents, Aletta & Peter, and her sister Phyllis. Judy is survived by her loving husband, David; daughters, Jill, Gay, Marianne, and Cindy; siblings, Shirley (Dick), Tim (Lois), Dave (Mindy); Sisters-in-Law Ruth (Carlos) and Esther (Jack); 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.

Judy was a dedicated stay-at-home mom until all her girls left for college, then proceeded to serve as a nurse right up until she was 76 years old. Judy loved her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her daily walks at Baker Park with her husband of 57 years, David. She cherished her long talks on the phone with her sister and dear life-long friends from her years in Auburn, NY, as well as fellowship, prayer, and Bible study with treasured friends here in MN.  Judy and David attended Park Harbor Church and enjoyed their Bible Study groups. 

Only 3 short months after her diagnosis of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, Judy went to be with the Lord. We know she is now in Heaven because of her faith in Jesus Christ. Isaiah 41:10 meant a great deal to Judy: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".

Judy was laid to rest on February 22, 2021 at St George Cemetery in Long Lake. Cards with your memories of Judy are welcome in lieu of flowers.
