Solorzano, Arnoldo Obituary

Mr. Arnoldo Urzua Solorzano died on Saturday in the home of his daughter in Kearny, NJ.  He was 84.

 

The visitation will be held in the Condon Funeral Home 684 Kearny Ave., Kearny on Tuesday from 5-9pm.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, Kearny.  The cremation service will follow the Mass at Rosedale Cemetery and Crematory in Orange, NJ.
Arnoldo was a published poet, writer, and philosopher.  He worked as an industrial mechanic before retiring.  Born in Gutamala, Mr. Urzua Solorzano came to the U.S. in 1978 and settled in Kearny.  He later moved to Belleville, NJ where he lived for many years.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Amparo (nee Romero), and his children, Leslie Urzua, Lorena Herrera, Silia Canev, Jose Angel Urzua, Kelly Quintana, Erica Herrera, Malco Urzua and Marbella Steiner.  He was predeceased by his son, Janio Urzua.  Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Hospice of NJ.
