James W. Smith

James William Smith, 57, passed away at home on Sunday, April 19th, 2015, in Front Royal VA after a lengthy bout with cancer.

He was born April 30, 1957 to Jack (Mehrle) and Doris Smith in Rockville, Md. On September 15, 1979, he married April Messick in Front Royal, VA. Jim enjoyed church, family, work, dogs, shooting, and hunting.

Survivors include his wife April; his two sons, Jason and Jacob; two daughters-in-law Jamie and May; nine grandchildren Shawn, Amber, Jessica, Ian, Jared, Kayla, Tyler, Bailey and Zachary; two great-grandchildren Maggie and Macy; one sister Julie Wotruba of Temple, TX; one brother Joe Smith of Amissville, VA; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents and father-in-law, Joseph Messick.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 25th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, 5852 Howellsville Rd., Front Royal, VA.
