Charles R. Smith

Charles Richard Smith, 80, North Clear Ridge Road, Hustontown, PA died at 12:12 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Born February 27, 1935 at Woodvale, PA, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Sparks) Smith.  He was married to Elsie Donelson on June 26, 1976.  Mrs. Smith survives at home.

Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters:  Tonya Pensinger and husband Shawn, McConnellsburg, PA and Sherry Lord and spouse Elizabeth, Hustontown, PA.  There are 11 grandchildren.

Three brothers and one sister survive:  Willis Smith, Charleston, WV; Archie Smith, Arizona; and Paul Smith and Peg Barnett, both of Dudley, PA.  One brother Allen Smith and two sisters, Betty Snyder and Wanda King are deceased. 

He was a member of the Hustontown Church of God.

In earlier years, Mr. Smith worked at the Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg, PA.  He retired after 27 years at JLG Industries, McConnellsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2015 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Jimmy Dellinger officiating.  Interment will be at Hustontown Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home  6--8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
