Skip (Edris) Sisley, 70, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014.
He was born in Tacoma, WA and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. Skip has lived the last 31 years in the Pensacola area. He was an Eagle Scout as a boy, and became completely self reliant as a man. Skip owned and operated Pace Printing, one of the top 25 printing companies in America. After his retirement in 2005, Skip used his time enjoying fishing, boating and woodworking. Long known by his family as “MacGyver” Skip could solve any problem and fix every broken thing. Skip fought an inspiring and courageous battle these last 14 months. He was such a strong man who used to say that he wasn’t fighting cancer-the cancer was fighting him.
Skip was preceded in death by his wife, Alice.
He is survived by his wife, Holly; daughter, Melissa (Sam) Smith, their children, Alissa and Maddox; stepson, Darrell (Bridgette) Jensen and Holly’s large and loving family.
Grandpa and Papa will be loved forever and ever.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Jack Giddens will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America (www.scouting.org); Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarrior project.org) or your favorite charity.
The family wished to give special thanks to Dr. Davinder Sekhon, Cathy Garrett at Covenant Hospice and Skip’s private and personal almost-a-nurse, Amy Baldwin.
