Searls, Richard Obituary

Richard T. Searls died 4/15/2011 in The Elizabeth House in N.C. He was 92. 

 

Born in Jersey City, he lived many years in Kearny before moving to N.C. 3 years ago. Mr. Searls served in the Navy Reserves from 1943 until 1945 and was a supervisor at Magnatran in Kearny. He was a member of The St. Stephens Church Seniors and The Benstead Mens Club. 

 

Husband of the late Mary Jayne (nee McNulty) He is survived by his children Richard, Ronald and Brian Searls, Colleen Flatley and Lisa Searls-Raxter. Brother of Joseph Searls, Eileen Serpico and Theresa Ker. Also surviving are 15 grand and 16 great grandchildren. 

 

Visiting at the Wilfred Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny (mapdirections) on Tuesday 4-8 pm. Mass wednesday 9:30 am in St. Stephens Church (mapdirections). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery (map,directions).
