Leona JoAnn Scott, 74, Standing Stone Road, Huntingdon, PA died at 7:50 AM, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at her home.


Born July 20, 1940 at Calvin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harper Leo and Cleo (Roland) Smith.  She was married to Robert Scott on April 25, 1959 at the Calvin Methodist Church.  Mr. Scott survives at their home. 


Mrs. Scott is survived by two daughters: Keely Noyd, Marietta, GA and Christine Hollis and husband Roy, Erie, PA.  


There are four grandchildren: Alissa Smith and husband Ryan, Bradenton, FL; Corinne Noyd, Martin Noyd and Jenny Noyd, all of Marietta, GA.


A sister, Janice Scott and husband Fred, survive of Trough Creek Valley Pike, Huntingdon, PA.                    


Three brothers and two sisters preceded in death: Fred, Dale and Harper (Bud) Smith and Jean Migatulski and Jane Bowser.


Mrs. Scott was a 1958 graduate of the former Captain Jack High School (now Mount Union), Mount Union, PA.


She held secretarial and administrative positions in Human Resources at Elco Corporation, was secretary to the president of Penn Central Bank, at the Alumni Department of Juniata College and in the Marketing Department of Mutual Benefit Insurance from which she retired.


Mrs. Scott was a member of the Donation United Methodist Church, Huntingdon, PA.  She was a certified lay speaker, taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.


She was an active member of the Standing Stone Senior Citizens where she served as secretary for many years and helped co-ordinate senior trips.  


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, PA with Rev. Fred Hickok officiating.  Interment will be at Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 7--9:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. 


Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Pennsylvania Central Region, 123 South Sparks Street, State College, PA  16801; Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA  16652; and the Donation United Methodist Church, 7333 Loop Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
