Jeffrey A. Saxton
January 15, 2014
Jeffrey A. Saxton was born on August 28, 1980 to the late Patricia A. Saxton and Zellas J. Saxton at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland.
He was the oldest of two children and adored his little sister Kimberley D. Saxton. “Jeff Black”’ as he was affectionately known, departed this life after 33 precious years.
Jeffrey graduated from Laurel High School in 1998 and attended Prince George’s Community College for Criminal Justice and TESST College of Technology specializing in Information Technology.
Jeffrey worked as a security officer in Ross Clothing Store in Bowie, Maryland before transitioning to Home Depot in Laurel, Maryland as the Lost Prevention Supervisor.
Jeffrey resided in Laurel, Maryland and it was there that he loved and cared for children that were not his own.
Jeffrey was a man with a big heart and he loved to make those around him laugh. His daily question to get you laughin’ was “how much BACON do you eat?” He would also let you know on a daily basis how much of a diehard COWBOYS (Dallas) fan he was. He went so far as to name his dog-child Dallas Jamal…
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his Mother, Patricia A. Saxton (April, 2004) and leaves to mourn his Father, Zellas J. Saxton; sister, Kimberley Saxton; niece, Caydence A. Hamilton; foster children “Bookie”, “Little Durian” and “Ty”; Grandfather Samuel F. Saxton, Sr.; godfather, Billy Slater and godmother, Catherine Foster Powell; his OOC Family, and a host of uncles, aunts, great uncles and great aunts, cousins and friends.
Due to the love he showed and received, there are far too many others to list.
