Patricia R. Ruby

Patricia Rosalie Ruby, 80, of Blacklog Valley Road, Orbisonia, PA went to be with the Lord after an extended illness at 9:58 AM, Friday, January 18, 2013 at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.

Born March 15, 1932 in Rockhill Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Janvier and Margaret (Byers) Whitsel.

She was married to Daniel W. Ruby on June 30, 1951 at Rockhill Furnace.  Mr. Ruby preceded in death on January 23, 2005.

Mrs. Ruby is survived by a daughter, Terri Lessley and husband Alan of Blacklog Valley, Orbisonia.  There are two grandchildren: Brian Lessley and wife Tona of Blacklog Valley, Orbisonia and Kimberly Clugston and husband Shane of Chambersburg, PA.  Four great grandchildren survive: Madi and Daniel Lessley, Blacklog Valley, Orbisonia and Makenzie and Chase Clugston, Chambersburg.

Three sisters survive: June Sauder and husband Dave, Elizabethtown, PA; Peg Painter, Shirleysburg, PA; and Judy Smith and husband Robert, Rockhill Furnace, PA.  One brother, Janvier Whitsel, Jr., and one sister, Lucille Gilliland, are deceased.

Mrs. Ruby was a member of the Sugar Run Church of the Brethren.  A 1949 graduate of Orbisonia High School, she retired in 1980 from Singers Co., in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at theMartin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA (map/directions) with Rev. Jim Hullihen officiating.  Interment will be at the IOOF Cemetery, Rockhill Furnace, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
