Harold E. Rosensteel

Pastor Harold Eugene Rosensteel, 79, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, January 14, 2017 at Woodland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Orbisonia, PA  

Born January 22, 1937 at Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Fredrick A. and Madalene (Myers) Rosensteel.  He was married to the former Barbara Fields for over 40 years.  Mrs. Rosensteel survives at home.

Five children survive:  Sherry Stewart, Mount Union, PA; Christine Rosensteel, Pompano Beach, FL; Terry Shedden, Williamsport, PA; Bobbi Jo Smith and husband Richard, New Ringgold, PA; and Seth Rosensteel and wife Kristie, Mohnton, PA.  

There are seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

One brother Fredrick I. Rosensteel is deceased.

Mr. Rosensteel was a 1956 graduate of Mount Union High School.  He served four years as a jet engine mechanic with the US Air Force along with two years in the Reserves.

He was president of the Mount Union Fire Company in 1968.  Working in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years, he served as president of the Standing Stone Association of Life Underwriters.

In 1980, Mr. Rosensteel graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center, Tulsa, OK and was a member of R. M. A. I. (Rhema Ministerial Association International).

He was nominated and chosen to be published in the 1989 Edition of Who’s Who in Christian Leadership.

Pastor Rosensteel received his Doctorate of Ministry from San Antonio Theological Seminary in 1981.

He pastored in various locations in Pennsylvania and retired from his last church at Greentop, Missouri.

During his years of ministry, Pastor Rosensteel was founder and director of In Christ International Bible Training Center and hosted the “Word Alive” radio broadcast for several years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Living Water Christian Outreach, 7735 Meadow Gap Road, Three Springs, PA with Pastor Dennis Hunsinger and Pastor Sam Smucker officiating.  Interment will be at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
