Pastor Robert Donald Roher, 88, of Dug Hill Road, Three Springs, PA, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Rebecca Darlene Foster of State College, PA.

âBorn November 5, 1926 at Three Springs, PA, he was a son of the late John Harrison & Goldie Mae (Grissinger) Roher. He was married to the former Dorothy I. Wallace on August 2, 1950 at the Mt. Tabor Church of the Nazarene, RD, Waterfall, PA. Mrs. Roher preceded in death in 1992.

âSurviving are two children, Rebecca Darlene Foster and husband Dean of State College, Pa and Darius Lee Roher and wife Lynnea of Martinsburg, PA. He is also survived by a step granddaughter, Gretchen Gantt and her family and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Ethel Grace King Clark and Betty Jane Roher preceded in death and two sisters, Alfretta and Elma, died in infancy.

âMr. Roher attended the Cherry Grove Church of God, RD, Three Springs, PA. He graduated from Saltillo High School in the Class of 1944. He received a Teacher’s Diploma in 1951 and an A. B. Degree in Religious Education in 1952 from Southern Wesleyan Bible College, Intercession City, FL.

âHe served as Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Roaring Spring, PA from 1952 until 1960, the Bible Missionary Church, Elliottsburg, PA from 1960 until 1969 and at the Wesleyan Bible Holiness Church (Tyrone Mission), Tyrone, PA from 1969 until 2006.

âHe was also employed at Sanderson’s John Deere, Elliottsburg, PA, Morrow Farm Implement, Tyrone, PA and Clapper Farm Equipment, Sinking Valley, PA as a tractor mechanic.

âMr. Roher was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army as a Staff Sargeant from 1945 – 1946.

âA funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. James Lynn, Pastor Mary Emery and Pastor Randy Traxler officiating. Interment will be made at Cherry Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
