Stella R. Rogers

Stella R. Rogers, 94, of Saltillo, PA, died at 9:52 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home.
    
Born March 20, 1923 at Santa Fe, NM, she was a daughter of the late Fredrico & Josephine (Reyes) Rubio. She was united in marriage to William W. Rogers who preceded in death.

She is survived by three children, Fred L. Rogers of Los Lunas, NM, Billie Jo Cutshall and husband Tim of Saltillo, PA and Mary Elizabeth Oliver of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Ann Cadwalder, one granddaughter, Holly Ann Gronau and two sisters, Lupe Chavez and Ruth Castillo.

Mrs. Rogers was of the Catholic faith. During her life she had been employed at the White Sands Missile Base, New Mexico, she also operated a boarding home for college students and later a daycare center for children. She also operated a bridal shop and men’s store, making bridal gowns and men’s western suits.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 20258 Main St., Saltillo, PA with Pastor Dan Long and Pastor Mel Brubaker officiating. Interment will be made at Saltillo Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, PA.
