Carlos A. Pulgar, 78, of Shade Gap, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 31st with his wife and children by his side. Carlos was born February 20, 1937 in Concepcion, Chile, son of the late Eufemio and Lydia Pulgar. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jose and Mario Pulgar. Carlos retired from Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, Maryland where he was an electrical technician. During his lifetime, he had many accomplishments including earning an Associates Degree in Architecture, working as a Detective for the Santiago, Chile Police Department, as well as obtaining a scuba diving certification and a private pilot license. Carlos enjoyed sculpting, sketching, painting, wood working, and playing guitar. He spent many hours on his beloved farm.
He is survived by his wife Minna (Jill) Pulgar and children Krishna Pulgar and fiance Rick Wilhelm, Carlos Pulgar and wife Christine Pulgar, Shala Pulgar, Maya Bowman and husband Jeffrey Bowman, Paula Grannells and husband Matthew Grannells, and Jordan Pulgar and Carolyn Fendrich. As well as seven grandchildren Carlos, Christian, Maria, Elsa, Sophia, Alexander, and Sadie.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 6-8 PM at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA 17243.
