Frank Pugliese, 84, of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away at home on November 14, 2012. He was a carpenter with Local Union #11 Hawthorne, NY, a member of the Port Jervis Masonic Lodge #328 F & AM, Port Jervis, NY and a U.S. Merchant Marines veteran. Through the Boroughs of New York City Frank worked on the Javits Center and many other structures. With his strong belief in affirmative action, he worked on making it fair for everyone to get an equal start. In his spare time Frank worked on environmental studies.
The son of Joseph Paul and Angelina (Turso) Pugliese, he was born on May 17, 1928 in Harrison, NY. He was married to the late Angelina J. (Santoro) Pugliese.
Survivors include his son Joseph Pugliese of Dingmans Ferry, PA; daughter Susan Argueta and her husband Jose of Hopewell Junction, NY; two sisters Gail Renken and her husband Thomas of Windermere, FL, Joanne Baer and her husband Jack of Mamaroneck, NY, a brother Pasquale Pugliese and his companion Kathy Vega of Brookfield, CT, three grandchildren Kendel Strang, Christina Argueta, Frank Argueta and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home 405 W. Harford St. Milford, PA (map/directions) on Sunday November 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 PM.
A memorial service will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home on Sunday November 18, 2012 at 4 PM with the Rev. Carol Cowan officiating.
