William E. Price

William Edward Price, 91, Sunnyside Drive, Cayce, S. C., died Saturday afternoon, May 16, 2015 at National Health Care, West Columbia, S. C.

Born October 11, 1923 at Mount Union, PA, he was the son of the late Clair W. and Hope Ellen (Cox) Price.  He was married to Mary W. Willhide in 1950.  Mrs. Price preceded in death on March 29, 2008.

A sister, Jane P. Kauffman, and a brother, Fred C. Price, are deceased.

Mr. Price attended Broadacres Baptist Church, Cayce, S. C.

He was a graduate of the former Shippensburg State Teachers College now Shippensburg University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Mr. Price retired as a chemist with Rose-Talbert Paint Co., Cayce, S. C.

A WWII veteran, Mr. Price was a Quartermaster in the US Army serving in Italy.

He was a member of Cromwell Lodge #572, F and AM, Orbisonia, PA and the Harrisburg Consistory.

Graveside services will be held at 11:45 AM Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, PA with Rev. William Bair officiating.  A time of gathering and visitation will be held from 11:00--11:30 AM at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA.
