In 1982, he joined the Whosoever Will Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Frank Scott, where he remained a dedicated member until his death. He was a devoted man of God. Regardless of how he felt, he made sure to get on his knees to pray every morning.
He also spent many hours reading and studying his bible, listening to various sermons every Saturday morning, taking care of his plants, putting puzzles together, collecting various baseball caps, and caring for his fish. He also loved watching many TV shows; his favorites were most TV judges, Law & Order, Nancy Grace and the Channel 9 News. He also loved purchasing items from all kinds of infomercials.
