Florence L. Muhlhauser

Florence L. Muhlhauser, 100 of Milford, PA passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Belle Reve Senior Living Center, Milford, PA.

Florence, with her husband Carl W., owned and operated The Laurel Villa in Milford for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Milford Garden Club and also a Cub Scout Den Mother.The daughter of the late William C. and Marie (Johanson) Meyer she was born September 30, 1910 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY.

Survivors include her three children: Lois Castle, widow of retired SGM, Harold of Milford, Carl and Muhlhauser III and his wife, Janice Halsted, of Milford, Marion Alden and her husband, Howard of Culvers Lake, NJ; five grandchildren: Chris Castle and his wife, Jessica, Heidi Soto and her husband, Daniel, Peter Castle and his wife, Kelli, Erika Peereboom and her husband, Dirk, Jessica Hegedorn and her husband, Kyle; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 5 at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA with the Rev. Ben Willis officiating.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Florence's name to the Milford Fire Department, PO Box 1369, Milford, PA 18337.
