Ronald L. Peterson

Ronald L. Peterson, 82, of Peterson Road, Orbisonia, PA, died at 5:28 AM, Friday, February 5, 2016 at his home.

Born September 25, 1933 at Rockhill Furnace, PA, he was a son of the late Minnie A. (Hileman) Peterson. He was married to the former Betty Greenland on October 4, 1952. Mrs. Peterson survives at their home.

Also surviving are three children, Connie Richards and husband Ron of McConnellsburg, PA, Randy Peterson and wife Lesley of Everett, PA and Brian Peterson and wife Jennifer of Manassas, VA, six grandchildren, Becky Linton, Corrie Mellott, Randall William Peterson, Kayleigh Peterson, Cody Peterson and Jessica Peterson, two step grandchildren, Amanda Bailey and Kendra Graham, two great grandchildren, Corwin Linton and Dalton Linton and four step great grandchildren.
    
He is also survived by five siblings, Calvin Peterson of Dover, FL, Ross Peterson of Tyrone, PA, Mary Ella Keith of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Arthur Peterson of Haines City, FL and Verna Mae Peterson of York, PA. One brother, Willis Peterson, preceded in death.
    
He is also survived by his caregiver, Chris Tressler.
    
Mr. Peterson was a member of the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, Rockhill Furnace, PA. He retired from the Prudential Insurance Company after 33 years service. He was also employed by the former Hometaste Bakery for 11 years and enjoyed farming for 50 years.
    
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, Rockhill Furnace, PA with Rev. Darrell Nicklow, Rev. David Bowen and Rev. Richard Harter officiating. Interment will be made at Cherry Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA  6 – 8 PM on Saturday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
