Louise Anna Penamon-Johnson, daughter of the late Theodore and Pearl Elizabeth Penamon, peacefully departed this life on May 20, 2016 at Providence Hospital. She was born in Washington, DC on Febtruary 25, 1942, and educated in the DC Public School System, having attended Morgan Elementary School, Francis Junior High. and Western High School. Louise passion for wanting to make a difference in the lives of others lead her to the Universityof The District of Columbia where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree. As a result Louise worked in the DC Public School System as a Teacher for the next 30 years transforming and shaping many lives along the way. When Louise was not working, you could catch her watching her favorite football team ―The Washington Redskins‖ and listening to her favorite Reggae tunes, bouncing to the beat with her unique laughter. Roller skating and dancing were her favorite hobbies. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Organization. Louise was indeed a humbled spirited Philosopher who was loved by everyone. She will truly be missed.

She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Tanya Johnson-Holmes, brothers Theodore Jr. William Penamon, George Penamon, and a sister Idella Newman

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories five children. Robert D. Penamon, Rozinia Penamon-Craig, Bonita Penamon-Williams, Ivan Lendell Johnson, and William Alexandria Johnson. Three son-in-laws Robert Cleveland Craig (deceased), Gary Holmes and Mark Williams. One daughter-in-law Mildred Craig-Penamon. Sisters Pearl Rosemary Penamon Wilson, Sarah Elizabeth Penamon Carson-Diagne, Shirley Osigwe-Newman, Maria Newman-Bowman, Renee Berry and Deborah Penamon (Sister-In-Law). Brother-In-Laws Charles Wilson Jr and John Bowman. Grand-children: Robert D. Craig, James Ernest Penamon, Iesha Renee Johnson, Rico Leon Penamon, Rondell Morris Penamon, Takia Penamon, Davon Stephon Williams, Mark Jerome Penamon, Anotione Johnson, Maria Dozier, Maurice Glen Evans, Mia Glennita Evans, Tia Holmes, Tania Holmes and Taliyah Holmess, William Nelson (deceased), & Anthony Johnson (deceased). Twenty-three (23)great grand children,. A special devoted friend William Smith (Smithy) and two (2) devoted friends Troy Moore and Veronica Gilliard.
