Donald B. Nycum, 95, of Cedar Rock Lane, Shade Gap, PA, died 6:05 PM, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Community General Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

​Born July 19, 1920 at Saltillo, PA, he was a son of the late Everett & Katherine (Chilcote) Nycum. He was married to the former Daisy A. Detwiler on August 8, 1950. Mrs. Nycum preceded in death January 17, 2012.

​Mr. Nycum is survived by four daughters, Donna Crowell and husband Paul of Scituate, MA, Zelda Sheeder of Shirleysburg, PA, Karen Seachrist and husband Jay of Shade Gap, PA and Martha Morris and husband Steve of Hallstead, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. One granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters, preceded in death.

​Mr. Nycum was of the Protestant faith. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA.

​Mr. Nycum was a veteran of World War II. He served with the U. S. Army and was involved in the Normandy invasion on D-Day.

​Friends may call at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA 6 – 8 PM Thursday, October 1, 2015. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Saltillo Cemetery.
