Clifford Myer, 85, of Milford, passed away on June 17, 2014. He was born October 7, 1928 in Milford, the son of Otto and Lois Hulstlander Myer.
He graduated from Milford High School and went on to study horticulture at Kutztown University and Penn State College. Upon graduation, he returned to Milford with the dream of opening Milford's first floral shop. It began with growing gladiolus in his parents' field. Then his Dad, a carpenter, built a small house/flower shop, which in a few short years was outgrown and a larger structure with greenhouses was built.
He found his partner and love of his life in Liberty, NY, working in Liberty Greenhouses. They were married in 1957. They were married 57 years in January.
He was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church for 73 years and served on various committees for many years. He had an avid love for country music, playing pinochle and spending time with his family. He loved taking scenic drives and drove across the country numerous times.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; son Brian and his fiancé Ginny; daughter Dori and son-in-law Bob Stewart; grandchildren: Brendon, Amber and Matthew. He is also survived by his constant companion and riding buddy, Bonnie, his beloved dog.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Milford United Methodist Church with Rev. Luana Scott officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the church. Arrangements made by Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA.
