James Paul Mroczka, 62, of Westminster, died June 25, 2013 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.

Born October 16, 1950, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew Mroczka and Virginia Lee Takin Mroczka Hildebrandt. He was the husband of Marlene R. Conrad Mroczka, his wife of 34 years.

He was a graduate of St. Anthony High School in Washington, DC and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1969 until 1975. He was a Lead Man in rail car maintenance for the Washington Metro. He was of the Episcopal faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are son Joseph D. Mroczka of Westminster, sister Rev. Mary A. Mroczka of Dansville, NY, granddaughters Caroline G. Mroczka and Abigail I. Myers both of Gardeners, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 am at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster with Chaplain Dave Bare, Carroll Hospice Chaplain officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the start of the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
