Wayne B. Mort

Wayne Brant Mort, 86, North Clear Ridge Road, Hustontown, PA died at 1:11 PM, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at J. C. Blair Hospital, Huntingdon, PA.

Born June 17, 1932 in Taylor Township, Fulton County, he was the son of the late Mervin and Evelyn (Brant) Mort.  He was married to Mary Ann Mills on June 29, 1957.  Mrs. Mort preceded in death on July 17, 2011.

A daughter Diane Mort and a brother Larry Mort are deceased.

A sister Ferne Mellott survives of Hustontown.

Mr. Mort had attended Walnut Grove Church of God, Three Springs, PA.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction and later at strip mining.

Mr. Mort was a US Army veteran having served in Germany.  He belonged to Madden-Wennick Post 518 American Legion, Orbisonia, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, 301 Pitt Street, Hustontown, PA with Pastor Alann Schmidt officiating.  Interment will be at Clear Ridge Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
