Morgan, Larnell Obituary
Larnell Morgan was born July 15, 1959 in Washington, DC to Sarah L. Morgan and the late Levy Morgan. He was the first of two children. Larnell was educated in the DC Public School System. He graduated from Spingarn High School and attended Niagara Falls Community College in NY. He peacefully transitioned in his sleep on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

Larnell worked at Taft Junior High School for many years as a behavioral education teacher, and coached the girl’s basketball team. He enjoyed playing basketball, and more basketball and basketball! He loved coaching his team, the Larnell Morgan AllStar’s Basketball Team. Larnell had many, many basketball tennis shoes, too many to count. Larnell’s favorite pro basketball team was the Miami Heat. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, and could talk to you for hours
about sports. Larnell loved his family and would call aunts, uncles and cousins weekly to say “Hey what’s up”? He enjoyed playing Wii with his sister in bowling competitions at his mom’s house. Larnell was a big brother to many in the community. He spent every summer in South Carolina as a child, and was in charge of his sister and cousins while traveling on Amtrak. Larnell would often times as a child be in charge of babysitting cousins and he always made them the biggest pancakes for dinner. He also loved going to the Frog Jump in SC, a big event in the south.

Larnell leaves to cherish his precious memories to his mother, Sarah L. Morgan, one sister Martina Morgan of Washington, DC; aunts Catherine Anthony of Washington, DC, Sylvia Robinson, Louise Pigford, Carolina Livingston of Springfield, SC; uncles Roy Robinson of Arcadia, FL, Larry Robinson of Washington, DC, Leroy Robinson, Clyde Robinson, Bobby Robinson of Springfield, SC; two nieces Lauren Morgan of Philadelphia, PA, Megan Morgan of Washington, DC; two nephews Cameron Morgan and BJ Morgan of Philadelphia, PA; a host of cousins and friends.
