James Montaperto, 69 of Milford, PA passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, NY. He was a retired mechanic for Miller Automatic, Monticello, NY. Jim was a member of Good Shepherd & St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, Milford, Pa and member and past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E Lodge #2067, Greenwood Lake, NY. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and a member of the Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post # 139, Milford, PA.

The son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Taylor) Montaperto he was born September 4, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married to Carmela (Healey) Montaperto on for 45 years.

Survivors include his wife Carmela: daughter Michelle Smith, her husband Joe and their children Christopher and Tabitha; son Jim Montaperto, his wife Michelle, their children Kayla and Alyssa; son Anthony Montaperto, his wife Frani, their children Olivia, Jaxon and Serafina; two brothers George Montaperto, Tom Montaperto; three sisters Dorothy Ann Schultze, Tony Marie Hodgkins, Lisa Lenz and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 PM on Friday, August 16, 2018 at Good Shepherd and St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, Milford, PA. Funeral services will be held at church 12 PM on Friday, August 16, 2018 with Reverend Van A. Bankston officiating with military honors to follow.
