Marcus Minor

Marcus Minor was born on December 19, 1992 in Washington, DC, to Joseph Miller and Lena Denise Minor. Those who knew him would describe him as a polite, mild-mannered and easy going individual. He loved fried chicken, and was an overall joy to be around.

Marcus or "Purpin Marc" as he was affectionately called is a product of the D.C Public School System. He attended Smothers Elementary School, Elliott Middle and later received his GED with the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges, General Educational Development program. In his spare time Marc loved to watch his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loved playing basketball, and football. Recently Marcus developed a passion for rapping and making music; much of his spare time was spent in the recording studio. You can find many of his songs and videos online today.

Marcus met Lyana M. Gaza on July 4, 2009 and carried on a long term relationship with her. Lyana is now expecting their first child, a baby girl named OSHYN Lena Minor. Marcus leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, five sisters Monique, Dominique, Joy, Heather and Tyra Minor, two brothers Joseph and Joshua Minor, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by the family matriarch, his grandmother Ms. Gloria Jean Minor, his grandfather Joseph Nash Sr. and his aunts Lorraine Fleming and Deborah Elaine Minor.
