Miller, Thomas Obituary

Thomas Willard Miller of Front Royal died in his home November 21, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Jess Willard and Naomi Ruth Rachels Miller of Silverdale, Missouri and one granddaughter, Valerie Gail Arthur. He was born in Dunklin County, Missouri on February 27, 1941.

He graduated from Cardwell High School, University of Missouri, and attended one year at George Washington University Law School. He was a member of Browntown Baptist Church, where he acted as a trustee for a number of years. He worked for 34 years in government service, retired,and began his second career in real estate, working at Weichert Realty. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Gail Virginia Poe, two daughters, Molly  Miller Lockhart (Wesley), Meredith Miller Stimson (Brian), and one son, Paul C. Miller (Edgar McKee); one granddaughter Catlin Delaney Lockhart; two grandsons Dakota Thomas Lockhart, and Thomas Edward (Teddy) Arthur; and one great-granddaughter, Camberlee (Cammie) Michelle Lockhart.

Pallbearers will be nephews Jeff, Eric, Mark, Michael, and Tim Poe, Christopher Miller, Ronald Tomechko, and great nephew Kyle Shelton. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Weichert Realty.

Family night will be Monday, November 26, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home (map/directions). Funeral will be Tuesday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the Maddox Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael Normoyle, pastor of the Browntown Baptist Church. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery (map/directions).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Browntown Baptist general fund, or the Up All Night to Win the Fight Relay for Life team, Front Royal.
