Edith G. Miller, 92, formerly of Miller Road, Three Springs, PA, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at AristaCare at Huntingdon Park, Huntingdon, PA.

Born September 30, 1925 in Springfield Twp., Huntingdon, Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late John F. & Lucy (Baith) McCoy. She was united in marriage to Brinton Miller on December 27, 1950. Mr. Miller preceded in death.

She is survived by one grandson, Dominic Wessel, two great grandchildren and five siblings, Alice (McCoy) Forker of Three Springs, PA, Dorothy (McCoy) Farst of Lebanon, PA, Marjorie (McCoy) Miller and John F. McCoy, both of Orbisonia, PA and Harry McCoy of Audubon, NJ. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Dale and Lena Miller, brother in law, Charles Clark and sister in law, Carole Miller and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna (Miller) Wessel, a son, Robert (Bobby) Miller, two brothers, Carl McCoy and James McCoy and two sisters, Esther (McCoy) Barnes and Mildred McCoy.

Mrs. Miller had been a member of the Dublin Mills Community Church, Dublin Mills Road, Hustontown, PA, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

During her life she was a homemaker. She was an avid and gifted quilter and knitter.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA. Interment will be made privately at the Old School Baptist Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
