Lu Lillie, of Manassas, Virginia passed away October 21, 2013 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital after a long struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Lu was the daughter of Leon Ralph and Ida Mae (Brann) Bushey. She was a lifelong resident of Prince William County, Virginia.

Her career as a Department of the Army civilian began in 1971 as a temporary clerk typist at the Night Vision Laboratory. She subsequently held many key positions while working for the Corps of Engineers and HQDA. She retired in 2007 after 36 years of service while in the Facilities Policy Division in OACSIM.

Lu was preceded in death by her father Leon Bushey and her brother Michael Bushey. Lu is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jack and their three sons, TJ, John (Ashley), and Matthew (Teresa) and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Ida Bushey and brothers Robert and Ralph. Lu also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lu lived her life to the fullest. She especially loved reading, arts and crafts, antiquing and traveling the world. Most of all she loved being with family and friends. She will be missed immensely.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home at 9902 Braddock Rd. Fairfax, VA 22032 on Saturday 2 November at 1:00PM. The family will begin receiving friends adjacent to the funeral home chapel beginning at noon. The Inurnment following the memorial service will be limited to family members because of space constraints.
