Kenneth Clarence Leeker, 78, of Front Royal, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church (map/directions) conducted by The Rev. Gary Heaton. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery (map/directions).
Mr. Leeker was born September 26, 1933, in Staten Island, N.Y., son of the late Clarence and Emily Gottschaldt Leeker. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired as a police officer with Fairfax County. Mr. Leeker was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Mary Leeker of Front Royal; two daughters Kimberly Thomas and husband Matthew of Front Royal, Nancy Anderson and husband Mike of Moseley, Va.; four grandchildren Megan and Katherine Thomas both of Front Royal and Kevin and Brian Anderson both of Moseley, Va.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 7, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home (map/directions).
