Latlippe-Simard, Diana Obituary

Diana Aileen Latlippe Simard, 61 was called home to be with the Lord on October 23rd with her 2 daughters by her side. She was born to Edward Latlippe Sr. and Eugenia Fleming on Jan. 21, 1960 in Lewiston, Me.. Diana attended Dade County Florida Christian Academy and later Edward Little High School. She met and married Vaughn Simard in 1976 and had 2 daughters, Teshia and Sylvia. Together they lived in Florida, North Carolina and Maine. After many years of marriage, Vaughn and Diana parted ways but remained friends. Diana met Troy Giroux in 1993 and the 2 of them moved to Florida. That was a happy time for Diana and she cherished those memories the most. Her family was her life. She enjoyed the holidays and making happy memories for her children and grandchildren. She could turn a basic meal into a feast and her door was always open to those in need. Diana loved to sing, music was her gift. She had the most beautiful voice. She sang at church functions, nursing homes, campfires or just at home with friends and family. It was in those moments she would shine. As much as Diana loved to sing, she loved Jesus more. She would share the gospel and tell others about God’s love for them. God and music were her passion!  Diana is survived by two Daughters: Teshia (& Ron Cote) of Lewiston, Me. Sylvia (& David Hess), Florida. She also is survived by 5 grandchildren Zackary Garber and his fiance Chelsey Dame, Jaden Simard, Peighton Simard, Nevaeh Simard and Wyatt Hess. Her brother, Edward Latlippe Jr. of Georgia, a sister Gemma Kerrigan of Auburn, and a step mother Jackie Latlippe of Poland.  She had many nieces and nephews that she loved and adored as well as many family members not listed, but close to her heart. She leaves behind her companion Paul Finnerty. She is predeceased by her parents, a brother Donald Latlippe Sr. her sister Barbara Goodwin and her beloved son-in-law David Hess. What a reunion it must have been for her at those pearly white gates. Enjoy the streets of gold Lady Di, until we meet again.  Please join us for a Celebration of Life.
