March 19, 1944 - July 17, 2012
Fletcher Latherns was born on March 19, 1944 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Mary and Richard Latherns. Fletcher was the second youngest of three sisters and five brothers. After graduation from Mount Vernon High School in 1966, Fletcher was drafted into the United States Army as an Electrician in 1968 where he faced combat in the Vietnam War for our nation after basic training. Fletcher was honorably discharged in 1971 and was awarded the Vietnam Military Merit Medal and the Vietnam Armed Forces Medal for bravery. In March of 1975 Fletcher married Corene Boston from Augusta, Georgia. They married on March 8, 1974 in Dayton, Ohio before GOD and man with a beautiful ceremony.
Fletcher was a jack-of-all trades. A self taught businessman, Fletcher could fix anything at an inflated price. His three favorite loves in life were; Pall Mall cigarettes, 151 Rum, and his wife of 37 years, Corene. He will be missed.
