Carolyn J. Lane

Carolyn Jane Lane, 78, Church Street, Three Springs, PA died at 12:52 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her home.

Born August 3, 1938, at Mount Union, Huntingdon County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Zella (Lamberson) Stewart.

She was married to Max H. Lane on January 26, 1963.  He survives at home.

Mrs. Lane is survived by a son, Max D. Lane and wife Vickie, Three Springs, PA.

She is survived by three grandchildren:  Stephen, Julian, and Tavia.

There are four brothers and one sister:  Ted Stewart, Mount Union, PA; Joan Evans, Elmira, NY; Edward Stewart, Winchester, VA; and Phil Stewart, Allenport, Mount Union, PA.  Four brothers, Ronald Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Dale Stewart, K. L. Lamberson, and one sister Gladys Lane preceded her in death. 

She is also survived by her best friend, Sue Jenkins.

Mrs. Lane was a member of the Cromwell United Bible Church, Three Springs, PA.

Mrs. Lane was employed at Robin Footwear, Mount Union, PA and later at Sagner Inc, McConnellsburg, PA.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Lane was an avid race fan, enjoying NASCAR and dirt track racing.  She also loved fishing and enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday January 21, 2017 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley Street, Orbisonia, PA with Pastor Greg Harven officiating.  Interment will be at the Three Springs Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
